Virgin Coconut Oil Production Processing

There are several main production processes for virgin coconut oil:

Wet method

Taking coconut meat: Remove the shell of mature coconuts, take the meat, wash and chop or grind.

Grinding with water: Add appropriate amount of water and grind into coconut milk with grinding equipment.

Stirring and standing: The coconut milk is stirred in a mixing tank to promote the condensation of oil, and then stand to separate into layers, the upper layer is the emulsion oil layer, and the lower layer is water and residue.

Centrifugal separation: The emulsion oil layer is further separated by a centrifuge to obtain crude coconut oil.

Refining: After filtering, degumming, deacidification, decolorization, deodorization and other refining processes, refined virgin coconut oil is obtained.

Dry method

Coconut meat drying: After shredding the coconut meat, use the sun or mechanical drying method to reduce the water content of the coconut meat to a lower level.

Crushing and pressing: The dried coconut meat is crushed with a crusher, and then pressed with a press to squeeze out coconut oil.

Filtration: The squeezed oil is filtered to remove solid impurities to obtain virgin coconut oil.

Cold pressing method

Selected raw materials: Select fresh, mature coconuts and take their coconut meat.

Low temperature grinding: Grind the coconut meat into a fine paste under low temperature.

Cold pressing extraction: Apply pressure to the coconut meat paste through cold pressing equipment to slowly ooze out the oil.

Filtration separation: After fine filtration, impurities and moisture are removed to obtain cold-pressed virgin coconut oil. This method retains the nutrients and natural flavor of coconut oil to the maximum extent.
